I am currently creating this article from German articles and old family documents. Any help in cleaning up the rough translation is greatly appreciated.

Glad to help any way I can.. a few clarifications though..

  • when you say restaurant operators... I'm assuming they actually owned the restaurant??
  • also, you say: "which took straight in the years of its childhood a strong upswing" you are talking about Kurt's childhood right?? I'm confused because you say "its" so maybe you're talking about the early years of the organization??
  • also "southeast the station" does this mean in "the area southeast of the station", in which case which station are you talking about, or does it mean "the southeast station"??
  • "learned the fitter handicraft" what does this mean? what exactly is fitter handicraft?? the next line is also confusing.
  • What is Lehrjahren, Lungentuberkulose and Freiwilliger. Unfortunately google translate doesnt seem to help. These might be very bad guesses, but does Freiwilliger mean volunteer?? also does Lungentuberkulose mean tuberculosis???

[edit] More suggestions

Regarding the quotes, for example, the one from Nehrling's son Heinz: perhaps you should have the quote in the original German and then a translation can be made directly below. This is how I think quotes are usually handled if the original language is not English. Also, since the article is so long with lots of biographical detail, it might help to split it up into various defining periods of Nehrling's life.
