Curious, DON'T post result of this on article

Does anyone else here think that maybe Angle's injured ribs are a keyfabe cover for another problem, possibly his neck, that has flared up again so he needs some time out of the ring and thus has to be relived of the title then taken out of the title hunt and the RoF tournament? Just curious. Night Birnger

Spoilers?

I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was up on WWE.com...I will revert.

I thought you weren't supposed to post info unless it has aired in the US? I'm going to go ahead and delete the spoilers but if I'm mistaken go ahead and revert. Eenu 05:54, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

According to multiple sources, including fansites and many interviews, Angle is apparently married to his wife by the name of Karen. He also has one daughter named Kyra. I would also like to see the source for the alleged Kimberly McMahon marriage. -- CMC 07:41, Jan 22, 2005 (UTC)

--Trick man01 06:04, 11 January 2006 (UTC)WWE.com has announced it so it is legitimate that we can post it

Statistics section

The real height of Kurt Angle is always being changed. According to Olympic stats, his real height is 1m80 or 180 cm, or 5 ft 11in. This can be seen in the beginning of the Olympic 220 lb freestyle wrestling final that Kurt won. The height in the beginning of the video appears and is 1m80 (5 ft 11 in).

Unless you can provide a source - there is no way of verifying this - then the Washington Post figure seems most reliable. McPhail 17:46, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

Maybe your`re right, maybe they made an aproximation to 1m80 in metric units...But if you can get the video of the 1996 Olympic final (I have it), you`ll see in the beginning that they say (television guys...) is height stands at 1.80m or 5ft 11 in (They didn`t take out enough of the shoes while measuring him there... :-) ).

You really need to see this thread http://www.celebheights.com/s/Kurt-Angle-2758.html on www.celebheights.com for a good discussion on the subject, as far as i can gather he very well may have been a legit 5'11"+ (and he rounds up to 6'0" this is the height he tells his fans) at his peak however after operations to his back/neck he has lost a little height and now stands at about 5'10", the 6'2" listing is ofcourse complete rubbish.

Also as of late he has been noteably loseing muscle...so I severely doubt he is 237 anymore more like 225 or 220, but i dont have any data in front of me to back it up so i'm not going to change it, just thought it would be something to bring up, anyone else notice this?

Yeah, I have noticed it. And I think he will lose stil more now the steroid ban is on.(Halbared 10:53, 25 May 2006 (UTC))

Personal life section

This section looks like it could use attention. The wording is clumsy and it could do with some expansion - if there's more to tell, of course.

In Kurt Angle's autobigraphy, he mentioned "my beatiful wife Karen" and included photoes of their wedding. Also in the Wrestlemania XX DVD 3-Disc Set that I've got there were interviews from Wrestlemania XIX on how Kurt's injured neck affected his match with Brock Lesnar. Then he got surgery and said it was magic on how he got completely healed. Karen Angle, captioned "Kurt's wife", said that the Main Event match at WM XIX wouldn't be worth it if Kurt has to go through this. Starts to get off-topic, but on the other side, Lesnar was hurt too and was distraught.

Is there a source that says that Kurt is back with Karen? I haven't found anything yet. Thanks. User:MgHoneyBee Apr. 2,2006

What is up with the personal life section? Who is Kimberly McMahon? I thought he was married to Karen?

"You Suck" chant and the "Angle Lock"

I was just thinking that the announcers are now calling it the "Angle Lock", with the "g" pronounciation instead of "k-sound". Also if he is face the audience does not chant "You Suck".

I've never heard it called the Angle lock, at least not in a long time. All announcers currently refer to it as the "Ankle lock". Regarding the "You Suck" chant, it's done regardless of Kurt's alignment. Take, for example, his being cheered in his hometown a few weeks ago. The crowd still chanted "You Suck" in time with his music. Soltak 04:24, 20 August 2005 (UTC)

"Angle Lock" is a term created by Sony in the SmackDown! games. It isn't canon. McPhail 18:10, 20 August 2005 (UTC)

Dude though he was cheered in his hometown he was heel at the time. He is a huge superstar so often even if he is heel audience cheered at the start of his entrance. Also if you hear it correctly, the announcers said "Angle Lock". Michael Cole referred to it as "Angle Lock", so his partner Tazz has to say the same, too. J.R. dubbed it "Ankle lock" on Kurt's return to RAW, but I still heard the g-sound said from Lawler and even J.R. himself. Unless you can't tell the difference. If you're still unsure, download his matches, I suggest using LimeWire of iMesh. You'll hear the commentators say "Angle Lock". Even Kurt himself refers to it as ankle lock, not Angle Lock.

The audience chant "you suck" irregardless of Angle's alignment, though I'll warrant that it's probably in an affectionate sense by now. Also, WWE.com list's Angle's finisher as the "Ankle lock". Angle lock has never been used. McPhail 16:19, 21 August 2005 (UTC)

Heh dude accept it. When he began using the ankle lock submission it was dubbed "Ankle Lock" with the k, then later after it becomes his finishing hold they dubbed it "Angle Lock" for some reason. WWE.com isn't always right. And for god's sakes when he was really face the fans does NOT chant "You Suck". Remember 2003 and mid-2001.

No. "Angle lock" is a term used variously by fans and by Sony, not by WWE. The audience have always chanted "you suck" throughout the last four years, whether they like Angle or not. McPhail 13:22, 27 August 2005 (UTC)

Man, do you even watch wrestling in 2003 or two years before that? Then you should know pretty well that the audience don't chant "You Suck". Rent the 2003 DVDs that features Kurt Angle. Also, you chouls be able to tell the difference of the commentators calling it "Ankle lock" and "Angle lock". To you it sound like "ankle" but truly it's "Angle". I'm not sure 100% but Kurt's version of the ankle lock is grapevining the victim's leg, unabling them to reach to the ropes, unless by dragging him. So, "Angle Lock". Kurt himself calls it ankle lock, but "Angle Lock" should still be put in as it is the term used by commentators.

No. McPhail has not only cited his sources but also explained his rationale to you on several occasions. You're just completely incorrect. If you continue to revert the article you'll be blocked. Soltak | Talk 00:08, 28 August 2005 (UTC)

OK. On one episode on Kurt's comeback, he said that the "You Suck" chants meant respect and was proud of it. However, when he was face in 2003, on some occasions the audience didn't chant "You Suck!". Also, the "You Suck!" and "What?" chants only came in mid-2001 when he feuded with Stone Cold Steve Austin in the Invasion angle (or maybe before the Invasion angle, but it wasn't on 1999 and 2000). WWE.com isn't always correct, they call Heidenreich's and Rosey's finishing move "Swinging Sidewalk Slam", which truly it isn't. It's "Spinning Side Slam". Sidewalk Slam is where you grab opponent from the side then walks few steps then slam them, as in Kane. Side Slam is where you catch the opponent's chest and go side-to-side before lifting them up and slamming them down, as in The Rock Bottom.

I'm sure they haven't chanted it on some occasions, but the fact remains that the chant is a staple irregardless of whether Angle is face or heel. WWE.com has no mention of the "Angle Lock", neither does OWW.com. I'm sure they aren't always accurate, but they are infinitely more reliable than the anecdotal evidence of a singe contributor without a single citation. McPhail 13:45, 28 August 2005 (UTC)

I'm sorry but what you hear from SmackDown (J.R. mix up the calling of "Ankle Lock" and "Angle Lock") is definitely "Angle Lock", not "Ankle Lock". You can tell the difference.

I think "Angle Lock" and "Ankle Lock" are supposed to be mixed up, because sometimes I hear the announsers say Angle Lock and Ankle Lock, sometimes I hear Cole or J.R. say, "Angle's got the Ankle Lock lock on," or "The Angle Lock, Angle's got the Angle Lock."

You people are idiots - if you watch Smackdown, then you'll hear the fans chanting "you suck" to Angle's music even though he's Smackdown's top face - it's not a chant at Angle himself, just something that's really caught on with the fans - when you hear the music hit, you want to chant it because it's so catchy... Oh and by the way the chant started with Edge chanting it with the fans tp Kurt's music when he was involved in an angle with Kurt. Matt

as of right now Kurt is back with his wife

I'm watching the 28th April '06 programme right now, and as Angle came out, the fans chanted 'You Suck', even though he's a huge face, maybe second only to Rey Mysterio. -UK-Logician-2006

Look mate it's the "Ankle Lock" you pry hear "Angle Lock" because his name and the name of the move are very similar. But it's definetely called the "Ankle Lock" just listen to other wrestlers talk about trying to avoid it and listen very carefully when Cole is yelling "the ANKLE LOCK IS LOCKED IN!!" And the fans definetely chant "You Suck" regardless of him being a face or heel its a thing they docause they respect him becuase he is such a good technical wrestler I mean I admired his work when I started watching the WWE even though I hated the cheating ways he used to win matches cause he was heel at the time. Night Bringer

Hi, O6 here to add his two cents for no apparent reason. It's Ankle Lock. Kurt's Grapevine version is just that--Ankle Lock With Grapevine. Also, you know nothing about wrestling terms, apparently--A "Sidewalk Slam" is actually a Side Walk Slam, which is derived from the Sideslam--which is the regular old sideslam. A Sidewalk Slam is a sideslam where you walk before you slam them. A "Sideslam" is not a "slam with the victim at your side, ala Rock Bottom" as you put it. Want proof? Seek out a clip of Triple H giving an audible move cue to Kevin Nash on RAW in 2003. Nash performs a Snake Eyes on Trips and you can audibly hear Aitch call out "Sideslam!" And moments later, Nash performs a Sideslam, or a Side Walk Slam. While this is a blooper in regular kayfabe context, it very clearly shows that the wrestlers themselves refer to the move as a Sideslam, and you're wrong on that point--meaning, clearly, you have no actual wrestling knowledge, and therefore, are wrong on the "Angle Lock" issue as well. Also, in an episode of Confidential from '03 or so, I definitely recall an interview with Angle that talked about his finishers--And I specifically remember "Angle Slam" and "Ankle Lock." Appearing on the screen. In text. I win. Onslaught Six 06:25, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

The "You Suck" chants originally started as "Angle" chants when Kurt was teamed up with Edge and Christian. Edge and Christian were doing everyone's entrance music on kazoos and while doing Angle's sang "An-gle" to the beat. It was catchy and the crowd started doing it, regardless of alignment. During the Hair vs Hair feud with Edge, Edge coaxed the crowd into switching it to "You Suck", and it's stuck as that ever since, regardless of alignment as well. Hence why they changed his theme music for ECW, though at Vengeance last night they were still chanting it. Leoroc 01:22, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Kurt and his neck

It says in Trivia section that Kurt Angle exaggerates that he won the medal with a broken neck and the Olympic rules state that he would not be able to participate with a broken neck. Well actually I picked up Kurt's autobiography, "It's True, It's True" and says that he WENT THROUGH a broken neck, not WINNING IT with a broken neck. He healed just in time for the Olympics. He still feel the effects of the surgery and so he uses painkillers. And painkillers shouldn't affect your performance in amateur wrestling.

He won the Olympics with a neck that was still healing, but not a broken neck per se. However, in WWE, Angle normally claims to have won the Olympics "with a broken frickin' neck". His character was supposed to have had a broken neck during his final Olympic bout. McPhail 16:15, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

this does need to be cleanep up. "He said out funny lines"? Who wrote that?

Clean up

The World Wrestling Entertainment section needs cleanup. Use summary style to make things cleaner and don't add latest show results unless they're major career events. --Jtalledo (talk) 16:06, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Angle/Olympic Slam

Kurt used this to win his first WWE match in 1999, and several times after that. So why does the article state that he only started using it in late 2000?

I agree and I fixed the misinformation, and I hope nobody will erase it.
Thanks.

Angle/Tazz/Tazzmission/illegal choke hold

Kurt back at 2000 claimed that Tazz's Tazzmission was an illegal choke hold, but wasn't it that Kurt claimed that it was an illegal choke hold because he was just embarased by losing to Tazz thus losing his undefeated streak, because if Tazz's Tazzmission is illegal then he should have been disqualified in every WWF match he had been on since his debut, so in turn, Tazz should be the first professional wrestler to defeat Kurt, not The Rock.

The official WWF line was that Angle's streak continued until he was pinned by The Rock. McPhail 20:11, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

That's generally the idea, I think, that Angle weaseled his way out of not letting Taz hold the honour of winning over him. The whole incident is documented in the article, which is better than just simply going "Rock Beats Kurt, Paper Covers Rock For The Three Count." Onslaught Six 06:29, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

The Infamous Angle / Puder Incident

Why isn't the incident mentioned in the body of the article or in the trivia? My friend, who is an amateur mixed martial arts practitioner, reviewed the footage of the incident and said that that was a real submission, a key lock, and said if Puder had the hold any longer, he could have broken Angle's arm, and he said, if this wasn't on live nationwide TV, Angle will have tap, and he also said, to an wrestling fan (with no knowledge of mixed martial arts) that just looked like a pin, but to a mixed martial arts practitioner, Puder's shoulders were not fully on the mat.

  • I agree, I saw it, Daniel Puder beat Kurt Angle, and besides everyone in the arena that night saw it, everyone watching TV saw it, every mixed martial arts practitioners saw it, it happened, and I thought this was a "Free Encyclopedia," and free means "freedom of speech" and means "freedom of truth," Puder beats Angle and thats the truth, It doesn't matter what WWE says it happened and everyone saw it, so no amount of coverups will hide the truth! This encylopedia should change there name to "WIKIPEDIA: THE FREE ENCYCLOPEDIA (Please Don't Put Anything That May Destroy Certain Coverups)"
Yes, yes, everything's a cover-up. It couldn't be that something that happened on one episode of Smackdown a year and a half ago that had no noticeable effect on Angle's career or character isn't really notable enough to go in an article on him, no sirree... --HBK|Talk 04:52, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for posting the Angle / Puder Incident in the trivia. But I think more research on the incident should be done, so a section of this article can be devoted to the "The Infamous Angle / Puder Incident", and to why and how did it happen, what, did Kurt Angle (who's out of character) insult Daniel Puder in the backstage?
STOP REMOVING IT! IT HAPPENED! DEAL WITH IT! AND EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW ABOUT IT!
What's the deal here? Ok, I will place "Angle would have tapped to Puder" until you guys accept it, it happened deal with it

why don't you put it on the puder page he needs somthing good in his career. puder dosn't belong in wwe if he cant even follow instructions

        • Puder doesn't belong in WWE if he can't follow instructions? Wow, that's really interesting, then your saying Shawn Michaels, HHH, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and X-Pac, shouldn't have belong in the WWF if they can't follow instructions remember the MSG Incident, when they hugged each other after that match, if you don't know, the match before the MSG Incident was part of WWF storylines but the MSG Incident wasn't, much like what happen to Daniel Puder and Kurt Angle, why wasn't Michaels fired but he was demoted only

Because shawm michaels was the champion and puder had only started WWE.com now lists angle as a smackdown superstar. ==

  • Puder was the winner of Tough Enough and he's a fan favorite, and please don't tell me he isn't, he was voted upon by the fans, thus fan favorite, samething, if you don't know, after the incident, Puder vs. Angle became second of the dream matches, the number one being Bret Hart vs. Angle, according to some internet forums, so clearly Puder became a fan favorite.

so should we change it in the intro??? --Trick man01 05:03, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

If it's on the official site, then yes.
Angle is listed as the World Heavywieght Champion on the Smackdown page on WWE.com, but his bio still has him as a Raw Superstar. It is still up in the air whether he is now a Smackdown wrestler or whether the titles are now on Raw. I will add sentence to article to try to clarify.Ramsquire 20:01, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
there are rumors that he will face Michaels on Raw, and then they will explain his future there, so until then i guess he is on both brands Perry8331 21:25, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

OK on Byte This or the WWE.com homepage I can't remember which one it said he would face HBK on raw--Trick man01 06:23, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
Here's how I see it. Despite being SmackDown's champion, Kurt Angle is still a RAW Superstar until proven otherwise, because he will still be on RAW to face Shawn Michaels.--Web kai2000 15:42, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
Please don't use the term "superstar" within the article. It's horribly pov. McPhail 21:16, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
"Superstar" is the term used by WWE to refer to its wrestlers. Trau
Yes, but this is not WWE.com, and using "Superstar" is not neutral. McPhail 19:24, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
I'd say it's appropriate as long as it's used as a title "Superstar" as opposed to an adjective "superstar", kind of like "Diva" vs. "diva". --Chrysaor 20:03, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
Either usage is appropriate and does not infringe on the neutrality of an article. Kurt Angle is one of the major names in professional wrestling and has held numerous titles. He always gets a large reaction from the crowds. He fits the definition of "superstar". Trau
You mean your definition of superstar? "Superstar" is not pov. If it is being used in the sense that WWE uses it, it must be qualified using inverted commas or by a similar method. McPhail 13:55, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
I mean Wikipedia's own definition of superstar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superstar

See the first entry. Identifying a person as a superstar is not a reflection of bias. Calling Tom Cruise or Angelina Jolie a superstar does not take into account on opinion of the two, only their status as celebrities.

As for qualifying the word for use in the WWE sense, only capitalization is needed. Trau

        • Daniel Puder blind-sided Angle... he certainly did not beat him in anything. They weren't out there to have a real fight, they were there to work a professional wrestling match and puder decided, without any warning to attack for real.****
          • Daniel Puder wanted to prove a point and he proved it, it was brave of him to do that and I think thats why he won Tough Enough, and I think WWE sucks for taking out Puder and deciding for paying him low if he returns, WHY THE HELL DID HE BUST HIS ASS IN TOUGH ENOUGH, for what, a low pay!

I don't think puder deserves any pay if he wont do a work with kurt angle who the hell would he do it with!

it's easy. puder almost made angle tap. almost. there have been bad counts before relating to a wrestler's shoulders, but kurt did not (almost, but not) tap out. sure puder deserves credit for the fight he put up after the tough exercises, but he did not win. how many times did tommy dreamer "almost" beat raven before he finally got the elusive victory? besides, is it not possible that kurt just underestimated him? that's the first way to lose to an opponent. i will bet that if they ever really did fight, kurt would probably take him a little more seriously now. he was humbled, but not defeated. as for puder's pay, at least he got his foot in the door. the fact that he was on wwe tv ups his price on indy shows. and if he wants to use his mma skills, he can make money in that world. he can even sell his little t-shirts saying he make kurt weep. how cute. at least he's making a few bucks, right?

Born-again Christian

Is there a source for Angle's religious status? I haven't been able to look that up elsewhere. Trau

As noted in his autobiography, Angle was/is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which is an association with strong ties to the evangelical/born-again Christian movement. - Chadbryant 20:51, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

Cleanup?

I did some cleanup on the "History of the "You Suck!" Chant" section, but am unsure as to whether it was enough of a cleanup to merit removal of the cleanup tag. Could a couple of you please look over the new version of the section? Poofyspikes 07:34, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

The "history of the 'you suck'" section should be deleted altogether. There is nothing of "substance" there, and the "you suck" chant does not really have a "history" worth mentioning. It would be like adding a history section for any major catchphrase in WWE history. bssc81 15:39, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

I am removing this section altogether. With all due respect to whoever wrote it, I feel like it adds little to nothing and is not really important in terms of Kurt Angle's "bio", and definitely does not warrant a "history" section.Bssc81 22:03, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

Elimination of Extraneous Information

This page is too long. Why are all of the wrestler's pages turning into weekly play by plays of everything they do? I've gone ahead and cut out some unimportant stuff. Frankly, it's silly that his 2005 page is longer than the 2002-2004 section put together, and 2006 is already 9 paragraphs long. Feel free to add back anything I've taken off but if you compare versions you'll notice I kept all the good (important) stuff. I also cleaned up some English. - bssc81. 2 February 2006

The main problem is that a lot of unregistered users stumble upon pages for the more notable wrestlers (HHH, Benoit, Angle, etc.), notice that they can add whatever they like to the article, and throw in minute details of every week in the wrestler's on-screen career. Eventually, the articles become gargantuan shrines to markdom. The more established/knowledgeable editors (especially those involved with WP:PW) should not hesitate to revert wrestling articles when they're being updated six times a day by various anonymous/inexperienced editors. - Chadbryant 22:05, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

um can we get a new pic of Kurt with his world title as his main pic

Got uploaded a pic of Angle with his world title belt, and someone is replacing it with a pic that's 2 years ago, please check his profile at WWE.com, it's the same pic on the offical website, come on, please!

Article Size

This article is a frequent target for unregistered or new editors to add a week-by-week synopsis of the subject's in-ring career. This is irrelevant to an encyclopedic article. More experienced good-faith editors should watch for irrelevant additions to this article that will only serve to make it larger and harder to edit for style, clarity, and grammar. - Chadbryant 19:58, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

  • Agreed. Most wrestlers' pages do exactly this. It's ridiculous that Angle's 2006 section is about the same size as the 2002-2004 section (clearly due to Wikipedia's growth in popularity). Only important things need be listed. Cleanup across the entire wrestling bios is really necessary. Bssc81 18:24, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Added Manager

I have added Eric Bischoff as a manager because of the fact that he acted as a manager in his and Angles war against Cena. He would constantly interfere in Angles matches against Cena. --142.59.79.144 02:35, 23 March 2006 (UTC)Killswitch Engage

Shouldn't the Managers section be fixed? I mean, from Angle's first manager, second, to the last, you know in timeline order, I could do it myself but I don't know the timeline of who and when Angle had a manager

I've put them in order. Thanks for the heads up. tv316 11:40, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Shouldn't Steve Blackman be added as his first manager? He did help Angle get that undefeated steak in his debut, and shouldn't in the 1999-2001 section mention that Blackman used his Kendo sticks to help Angle defeat his opponents, before they became tag partners
Well, wasn't Blackman his on and off again tag team partner? He wasn't really his manager. As for the additional information, go for it. It's a nice change to see older info being added in instead of these new week-by-week recaps. tv316 02:23, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Angle's "failing" moves

Should a section of this article that explains Angle's "failing" moves be created, just like Flair's "failing" moves in the Ric Flair article? I mean like, Angle's moonsault, it's misses it's target, or when Angle tries to run and hit someone with a steel chair, it's bounces of the ropes.

Most recent World Heavyweight Championship run

I made it reflect the nature of what happened. I noted why Batista vacated it in brackets. fishhead2100 April 29, 2006 9:58PM (UTC)

Angle Rocks!!!!

Greatest Ever

Why cant i state that many consider him the best?

Because it's a POV. We need a "neutral" article. Although many do consider him the best it's still considered a bias on this site. i guess you could state that but only if you have valid examples such as his impressive WM21 match, the fact he's an Olympic gold medalist, and his knack for drawing heat wherever he goes. user:slapslapslap

NOW you could put up some consider him the best since USA Wrestling named him the greatest shoot wrestler of all time. [[Slapslapslap 03:39, 11 June 2006 (UTC)]]

Olympics

he is the first american to win the olympic gold in the 220lb weight class also only gold medalist in wrestling history also...we need a trivia section

Jumping Brands same as Benoit

Hasn't Kurt Angle 4 shows like Benoit?

He went from SD! to Raw and then back to SD! and is now in ECW. However when Benoit returns if he joins ECW then he will hold the record at 5.

Oh and we DEFINETLY NEED A TRIVIA SECTION!

Trivia sections are to be avoided where possible. 88.107.149.2 19:09, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Angle/Benoit/Rock Picture

There is a picture in the article which says that it is of Angle and Benoit attacking the ROnck during their 2002-03 tag team run, but I find that the caption and picture do not match:

  • Angle has hair, and by the time Angle and Benoit were tagging (and even by the time Benoit returned to WWE in 2002) Angle was already bald.
  • Also, The Rock was not wrestling with WWE during Angle and Benoit's run as a tag.

Why should we use the USS Enterprise picture when:

  • You can only see his left side.
  • He only takes up the right half of the photo.
  • It's hard to see him from the crowd.
  • You can't see him clearly when resized.

I suggest we use the old Image:Kurtpromo.jpg pic. --Aaru Bui 10:34, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

The photo is free use. Fair use images are only fair use when there is no free alternative. Wondering...

Didn't Kurt cry on TV when Eddie died?

I think so

Slapslapslap 00:08, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

it dosent matter, because i'm sure half the people watching that episode of raw cried, and these people knew eddie personally.

Suspension

Shouldn't it be mentioned he's suspended? ----71.250.65.10 15:34, 6 July 2006 (UTC)\

What I want to know is why he is suspended.--Yugioh73036 17:42, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Yugioh73036

It's hasn't been confiremed if he was suspended. TJ Spyke 05:50, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

The suspension is only a angle. Kurt is legitimately nursing several nagging injuries and WWE/ECW needed an "excuse" as to why he is off TV. ABB

When and where did they announce his suspension?--Yugioh73036 19:02, 11 July 2006 (UTC)Yugioh73036
151.213.91.40 21:04, 17 July 2006 (UTC) Kurt Angle was legitimately suspended for 30 days by WWE. Pro Wrestling Insider answered this in their Q&A feature today, however they did not list the reason why he was suspended...so it's not storyline at all.

2nd Child?

Can someone verify if they are expecting their 2nd child or not? I haven't heard anything about this. Thanks.MgHoneyBee 05:14, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Image

Surley what the image represents and not the resolution of the inage or that the image Is from the WWE should matter. It should be that the Image represents what the article Is on about and not the source or that the image happens to be high resolution.--Lucy-marie 17:38, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

The image is owned by WWE. Wikipedia:Fair use policy states, "The use of a small number of low-resolution promotional WWE images to illustrate articles about the subjects of the images in question, in the absence of a free alternative...is believed to fall under the fair use clause of United States copyright law". The image in question is high resolution (800 x 618). Moreover, the image has no source information and is scheduled to be deleted. There are free alternatives on the page, and there is already an image owned by WWE. Therefore, adding this image breaches Wikipedia policy on the use of copyrighted material. USA Wrestling

I've sent in a request for somebody to make an article for USA Wrestling but I can't find it in the giant list of requests. So I'll ask it here since Kurt Angle was named "The Greatest Shoot Wrestler of All-Time" by USA Wrestling and is in the USA Wrestling Hall of Fame.

USA Wrestling's official website is TheMat.com.
