[edit] Te Aho Matua

This text appears identical to that found at Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o te Atihaunui ā Pāpārangi, and might infringe on the copyright that they claim at the bottom of that page.

It's also not appropriate to have a lengthy passage in the Māori language on the English Wikipedia. If the text is not copyrighted, then it could be included in a Māori edition of Wikisource, although no such edition yet exists.

For the moment, I have replaced the text with a link to the school's webpage.-gadfium 19:46, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

I found the official version online - Yay! Funauckland (talk) 07:23, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Appreciate your hard work in expanding this article, Funauckland. Kia ora koe. Nice and long now and the table is interesting too. It's getting to the point where we need some more pix to illustrate this article. Kāhuroa (talk) 03:00, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
OK, hope I don't get your riri up here, that wasn't my intention - I took out the bits where you use wāhanga (section) because wāhanga is not used in English, and section is an exact equivalent - its just a document, right, when push comes to shove. Also removed the bit about 'no official version' because that is beside the point really - that is more about Māori attitude to translation, an article in its own right, rather than about Kura Kaupapa Māori, and it seemed a bit contradictory because you then mention another translation or version. So I just simplified it a bit - anyway don't let it worry you or put you off writing more. Remember that the focus of the article is on Kura Kaupapa Māori and what the schools do Kāhuroa (talk) 20:15, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the help. Appreciate it. Funauckland (talk) 21:33, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Formatting (from Kahuroa's talk page)

Formatting Kia ora. I noticed your work and editing. All good. I was reading the editing you did on the Te Aho matua explanation sections, and think that it would read better in another format. Its currently too difficult to read in its current form. What do you think about us using a table to explain the different sections of Te Aho matua? Funauckland (talk) 06:45, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Kia ora koe. You're right. I've made it a numbered list - a bit clearer? Kāhuroa (talk) 08:30, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
