Arianism? As in the religion of the ancient Goths? That should be Arminianism, surely? QuartierLatin1968 22:23, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- The danish wikipedia states: Socinianism - a antitrinitarian group. I don´t know anything of these variants but according to the articles in this english wikipedia Socinianism seems more right then Arminianism. I think reading Polish brethren could give the answer./Johan Jönsson 18:52, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

- I think the point in hand is the use of Arian. From a glance at the articles on Arianism and the Polish brethren, it would seem this people were antitrinitarian. They did not define themselves as Arian. Other, more 'Orthodox' Christians called them that, making a parallel between their views and those of Arius. I would guess the term was meant to be offensive (somewhat like papists used to refer to Catholics, though i don't really know, of course). So I think it would be better to use 'Socinianism'. Arminianism is quite irrelevant here. At any rate, the brethren seem to have been driven from Poland in 1658. Someone should edit this though, I was quite taken aback when i saw they allegedly converted to ARIANISM IN 1600!!! Druworos 01:25, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Arianism
Really in Kurów was arianism. This is true information. Arianism was a religion on Poland 400 years ago. Pietras1988 TALK 12:49, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
- Not really. The Polish Brethren were incorrectly called Arians by Catholics but they weren't really Arians and they didn't call themselves Arians. Ausir 08:26, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Looks like Kurow is the most popular place in Poland, according to the Wiki. Ksenon 01:32, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
- Pietras1988 has apparently been visitng all the foreign-language Wikis on IRC and begging them to create articles for this place. I saw him dash through the Latin-Wiki's channel, at least. Rather bizarre; why the rush to make foreign-language pages for this place, specifically, when so many foreign wikis don't even have pages for all the continents yet? There are hundreds of more glaring deficiencies in the Interwiki pages than stuff like this... I don't get it. -Silence 22:15, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, this article is on 103 languages already but in Poland is popular because I live in Kurów and K. is important because is famous e.g. thx by Jaruzelski. Pietras1988 TALK 20:28, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
