Kuruksastra

Kuruksastra is the cultural festival of SASTRA University, Thirumalaisamudram, Thanjavur. The name Kuruksastra is derived from Kurukshetra, the site of the legendary war mentioned in the Indian epic, Mahabharata. Kuruksastra, therefore, is a war of talent in the various competitions.
Events at the fest will include English Literary events, Hindi and Tamil events, Arts, Music, Dance, Dramatics and Gaming.
The first edition of Kuruksastra was held on March 2nd and 3rd, 2007. It received a thumping response from colleges all over Tamil Nadu. The second edition of Kuruksastra was held from March 6th to 9th, 2008.[1]
