Kurt Smith (born January 9, 1983) is an American football placekicker who is currently a free agent. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft, pick 188. He played college football for the University of Virginia. His contract was waived after preseason in 2006 with the San Diego Chargers and cut earlier this year with the New Orleans Saints.

Smith attended Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee and won varsity letters in football as a kicker and punter and in soccer.

Smith was drafted in the sixth round by the Chargers, but was cut, then signed with the Saints in the 2007 offseason to compete with John Carney before both were released. On July 27, Kurt signed with the Seattle Seahawks. He was released by the team exactly one month later.
