Kurt Gscheidle (b. 16 December 1924 in Stuttgart; † 22 February 2003 in Saarbrücken) was a German politician affiliated with the SPD. He served as Minister of Transport (until 1980), Posts, and Communications (until 1982) under Helmut Schmidt in the latter's two terms as Federal Chancellor, 1974-1982.
