Kurrent
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kurrent is an old form of German handwriting based on blackletter, specifically the Fraktur typeface. It is known in full as Kurrentschrift, or as Alte Deutsche Schrift ("Old German script"). In American English, its name has been seen shortened to Schrift. A well-known, although very late form of it, is Sütterlin. In school, it was taught until 1941.
