[edit] Uniform
The KCPian uniform consists of a one-piece dark blue-white collared pinafore for the girls, and a white shirt and dark blue shorts for the boys. The school crest is embroidered on the pinafore/ shirt and a name tag which denotes the year they are in by its colour is ironed on top of the school crest. The name tag colour is assigned based on when they enter.
Students are required to wear white socks (ankle socks are not allowed), and black canvas shoes from 2006. Previously, white canvas shoes were worn. Most of the students followed the change, but some of the students from the old batches still wear white shoes.
Prefects, who are from Primary 5 and 6, wear an additional tie. The tie is navy blue in colour and the red burning bush is embroidered on it. Trainee Prefects, who are from Primary 2 - 4 classes, wear a Trainee Prefect Badge.
School socks with the burning bush and the initials 'KCPPS' are available, but it is not compulsory to be worn by all students. Hair below collar length must be tied up neatly, and no hair accessories other than black and dark blue ones must be worn.
The PE uniform consists of a dry-fit tee-shirt, with the KCPPS crest at the front and the house names at the back. Navy blue FBT shorts with the KCPPS crest in white in the corner are also worn. Students must wear the tee-shirt of a particular colour (blue, red, yellow, green or purple) according to which house they are in. Some classes also create their own T-shirts, which are worn with the school PE shorts.
For more information on the houses, please refer to the next section.
[edit] Houses
There are five houses: Atherton (blue), Dryburgh (red), Richardson (yellow), Lee (green) and Sirkett (purple). They are named after five past principals of Kuo Chuan Girls' School/ Presbyterian Boys' School. The House System was introduced in 2000.
