KUOK-CA is a low-power television station in Norman, Oklahoma affiliated with LAT TV. The station, which currently operates on Channel 11, is owned by Equity Broadcasting.
[edit] History
KUOK-CA signed on in 1997 as KDSA-LP, carrying programming from Worship Network, which had already broadcast on KMNZ (now KOPX) before and after that station affiliated with PAX (now ION Television). In 2000, KDSA affiliated with religious broadcaster Daystar. After the affiliation switch to Univisión was announced, the Daystar affiliation was passed on to newly signed on KOCM channel 46 in December 2003. In the summer of 2004, the station requested to the FCC to have its call letters changed from KDSA-LP to KUOK-CA officially changing the calls to KUOK-CA that fall. As of December 2006, it can no longer be seen in the Oklahoma City area itself.
KUOK-CA began carrying LAT TV programming beginning May 30, 2007, as part of a new deal between LAT TV and Equity. [1] Prior to that date, KUOK-CA was a satellite of Equity-owned KUOK in Oklahoma City.
