It is decended from a small genetic pool of domestic dogs, judging by the statements provided here. How is that a wolfdog (wolf hybrid)?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.195.186.83 (talk) 10:01, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think the whole story how the breed was created is a hoax. The dogs are just German Shepherds, with may a bit of local blood. The story was created to show that the Chinese have an "authentic" Chinese dog breed for all the purposes one needs a German Shepherd for. --Metron (talk) 17:22, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
