Kunzang Sherab

Kunzang Sherab was born in 1636, in the Ah Chog village of the Do-Kham province in the Bubor region. His guru was Terton Migyur Dorje in the Palyul Lineage. At age 30, he was head of Palyul Namgyal Chanchub Choling after King Lhachen Jampa Phuntsog and Trichen Sangye Tanpa built it.
His practice included tying his head up by his hair at night so as to completely abandon sleep and continue practicing.
He passed away in 1699, at the age of sixty-four, dissolving into the rupakaya (form body) into the great sphere of truth.
