[edit] History
The agreement to form Kunpeng Airlines was signed in December 2006,[3] and services began in October 2007.[3] Kunpeng will operate both passenger and cargo traffic as well as charter flights. The airline flies Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft,[4] painted in a variant of the Shenzhen Airlines livery.[5] The airline's name derives from a mythical Chinese bird.[6]
Kunpeng plans to have 20 CRJ200 operating prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and plans to grow at a rate of 20 airplanes per year for the next 5 years. On December 21, 2007, Kunpeng Airlines announced a 100 aircraft order of the ACAC ARJ21.[7]
[edit] Fleet
As of April 2008, Kunpeng Airlines operates:

The airlines also plans to have 20 CRJ-200 jets before the Beijing Olympics and to buy 15 to 20 50-90-seat jets every year until it has about 160 to 200 in its fleet[9].
