Kunio Inoue
Born 1948

Kunio Inoue (井上 邦雄 Inoue Kunio?, 1948) is a Japanese organized crime figure. He is a kambu (幹部?) of the Sixth Yamaguchi-gumi, Japan's largest yakuza gang. He is also the kumicho (組長?) (Godfather) of the Fourth Yamaken-gumi (四代目山健組?), and he was formerly the kaicho (会長?) of the Fourth Kenryu-kai (四代目健竜会?). He is an adopted son of Kaneyoshi Kuwata (桑田 兼吉?).

In 2000 he was released from a 17-year prison sentence. Upon his release, he immediately assumed the kaicho position in the Fourth Kenryu-kai, and he became a formal member of the Third Yamaken-gumi (三代目山健組?), then headed by Kuwata. Inoue became Kuwata's adopted son in May, 2003.

In August, 2005, Inoue was promoted from wakagashira (若頭?) (eldest son) to the 4th kumicho of the Yamaken-gumi. At this time, he became a formal member of the Sixth Yamaguchi-gumi. He assumed the position of kambu of the Yamaguchi-gumi in September, 2005.
