Kundian

Kundian is a town of Mianwali District in the Punjab province of Pakistan[1]. It is located in Piplan Tehsil at 32°27'0N 71°28'0E[2] and is administratively divided into two Union Councils[1].

Kundian is the second largest town of Mianwali District and is 15km south of the district capital - the city of Mianwali. In Kundian, there is the third largest Railway Loco Shed of Pakistan which is located near Railway Station Kundian. Kundian Junction is the largest railway station in the district and passengers can change trains for Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi,Mari Indus, Attock City , Multan and Kot Addu from this station.

The town lies close to Chashma Barrage, Chashma Nuclear Power Plant (CHASHNUPP) and the Chashma Hydal Power Station.

There is a Higher Secondary School for boys and girls each, two middle schools and many primary schools. There are two bazaars one is main bazaar and other Siddeeqi Bazar named on the great saint Hazrat Muhammad Siddeeq Bhorvi Rehmatullah Alah, Peer of Bhor Shareef.
