Kunabi Sena

Kunabi Sena (Kunabi Army) a political party in based in Thane District in the northern part of Indian state of Maharashtra. KS struggles for the interests of the Kunabi community, a developing caste. KS is allied with Communist Party of India (Marxist), with whom they have coordinated peasant struggles for land and water rights.[1] Together with CPI(M) they have protested constructions of GAIL gas pipeline through Thane.[2] The party has also demanded the formation of a Konkan state, consisting of the Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg Districts.[3]

The founding president of KS is Vishwanath Patil.[4].this party is now become a ruling party of thane district along with NCP& SHIVSENA.[citation needed]
