About Kumioko

Kumioko is not my real name it is the name that I have chosen to use here. I am married and have 2 children, 1 boy and 1 girl and I live in Virgina near Washington DC. I am a software application developer now but I was in the Marine Corps for over 13 years. For anyone reading this I will be working in a reduced capacity for the next few months while I finish my degree. After analysing the amount of time I have spent editing I have determined that although I enjoy doing it I should probably use the time more productively and either learn to speak Japanese or finish my degree. After much internal debate I chose the latter for now. I will continue to participate but you will not see me churning out the thousands of monthly edits I once did.

As of 20080521 I have exceeded 31000 edits, created 119 pages and 432 redirects.

My favorite sayings:

  1. It could be, that the purpose of your life, is to serve only as a warning to others."
  2. Every cloud has a silver lining, but every year hundreds of people are struck with lightning, while trying to find it.
  3. Those who keep a neat and tidy desk will never know the joy of finding something they thought had been lost, forever.
