Kumarghat is a town and a nagar panchayat in North Tripura district in the Indian state of Tripura.

As of 2001 India census[1], Kumarghat had a population of 11,591. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Kumarghat has an average literacy rate of 79%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 83%, and female literacy is 76%. In Kumarghat, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age. Kumarghat is a strategically an important place for India as this has the last railway station in the north-east part of India.
