This article is about the town in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. There is a city in Mie Prefecture with this name, see Kumano, Mie.
Kumano (熊野町 Kumano-chō?) is a town located in Aki District, Hiroshima, Japan.
Kumano-cho is famous for the manufacture of brushes called "Kumano-fude" (Kumano-brush). The town is adjacent to Hiroshima, Kure and Higashihiroshima, so it's also one of commuter towns of those cities.
As of October 1, 2006, the town has an estimated population of 25,906 and a density of 770.6 persons per km². The total area is 33.62 km².
