Kulgam is located at 33.65° N 75.02° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 1739 metres (5705 feet).now it is a separate district .Kulgam is famous because of so many things especially because of its wooden objects and because of aharabal.Tripur Sondri is Temple located their.

As of 2001 India census[2], Kulgam had a population of 13,523. Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44%.
