Kulangattil is an ancient family name used by Christians around Kolenchery area in the Kerala region of India.

Traditionally the family members are Oriental Orthodox Christians. Recently very few families have converted into Protestant faith.
Kulangattil family consists of around 60-80 families. Most of them are in and around Kolenchery. Some settled in Malabarregion, and few others migrated to foreign countries.
The Kulangattil family is a branch of Kottoor family. The full name of the family is Kottoor Kulangattil. Most of the family members are parishners of St. Thomas Church, Mazhuvannoor and St. Peter's and St.Paul's Church, Kolenchery.
Every year on the 1st day of May, all the Kulangattil family members used to gather for a family meeting.
