Kolalitionskrieg 1796-1797. Nach der Schlacht bei Malsch, gegen die Franzosen unter General Jean Victor Moreau, zog Erzherzog Karl mit den österreichischen Truppen am 9. und 10. Juli 1796 durch das Albtal. Aus diesen Tagen stammen die im Fels bei Frauenalb eingelassenen Kanonenkugeln.
