KUFO (101.1 FM) is a commercial radio station in Portland, Oregon, broadcasting to the Portland area.

KUFO airs an active rock music format branded as "101 KUFO".

[edit] Personalities

KUFO airs the syndicated Adam Carolla show during the morning hours.

Bozyk is the Midday host and Assistant Program Director. He came to Portland after hosting afternoons and serving as program director at WNFZ in Knoxville, TN. At the heart of his show is "Raw Power Lunch," a segment where Bozyk breaks format and plays punk and hardcore music in a "live" setting. A running joke on the station depicts him as having godlike powers.

The Marconi Show is aired 2-7 PM PST. Marconi is joined by comedian "Big Jim" Willig as producer/co-host. The Marconi Show has been broadcast in Portland for over ten years, and is known for interviewing celeberties such as Adam Carolla, Jimmy Kimmel, Larry The Cable Guy, Eva Longoria, and Patton Oswalt. The show often features local rock bands. TiVo Time with Susan Reynolds is a weekly feature. The Marconi Show makes a daily podcast feed available on its website.[1]

Cort and Fatboy air 7 p.m. to midnight. "Cort and Fatboy" came together after Fatboy Roberts won a listener contest to "produce" Cort Webber's show in late 2004. Cort and Fatboy feature the serial "George W. Bush, Boy President," as well as regular features on general news, music news, sports, audiovidual media, and "Stump the Movie Douche," a movie-trivia game. Celebrities interviewed have included Katee Sackhoff of Battlestar Galactica, UFC Hall-of-Famer Randy Couture, and Portland author Chuck Palahniuk. The show also hosts a monthly "midnight movie" at the Bagdad Theater. From 11pm-Midnight, Cort and Fatboy host MyRock, featuring listener-submitted rock playlists. The show, minus copyrighted music, is podcast online.[2]

The 12am - 5am overnight shift is held down by Crystal Kash.[2][3] Before joining KUFO, Crystal hosted middays for 92.9 FM KZZU in Spokane, WA.

"Buzz" and "Frank the Human Tripod" are heard on weekends. Buzz is known for his wide range of cartoony voices. Frank has been with KUFO since 1996.

Lisa Wood, formerly of KFNK and KEXP, is the newest addition to the KUFO staff. Lisa hosts the Viva la Luna program from 9pm-10pm on Sunday nights. The program is very similar to her previous shows in Seattle, where Lisa pores through the city's music scene and programs an hour of locals-only and unsigned artists. The show is named after the now closed venue "La Luna," host to well-remembered rock acts and performances in the 80's and early 90's.
