[edit] ERL station for KLIA Ekspres
This station is exclusive to KLIA Ekspres which provides a non-stop express train service to the KL City Air Terminal (KL CAT), part of the Kuala Lumpur Sentral transportation hub in Kuala Lumpur.
The non-stop trip between Kuala Lumpur and KLIA is 57 kilometres and takes exactly 28 minutes. Trains depart at 15-minute intervals during peak hours and 20-minute intervals during off-peak hours. A basic one-way trip costs 35 ringgit (RM35).
KLIA Ekspres station is on the first floor of the Main Terminal Building.
[edit] ERL station for KLIA Transit
Another station is for KLIA Transit, a high-speed commuter train service linking Kuala Lumpur Sentral and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). It shares the same tracks as the KLIA Ekspres but unlike the direct airport express service, KLIA Transit stops at three other stations, namely Bandar Tasik Selatan, Salak Tinggi, and Cyberjaya/Putrajaya. Check-in facilities are not available at KLIA Transit stations.
KLIA Transit station can only be accessed from the third floor (arrivals) of the Main Terminal Building, despite being on the first floor.
[edit] Future
- Feeder buses currently ferry passengers between the Main Terminal Building and the Low Cost Carrier Terminal. In November 2006, the Malaysian government announced that it has approved in principle the construction of a rail link between the Main Terminal Building and the Low Cost Carrier Terminal. Construction is scheduled to begin only after a new LCCT built.
