KUAM-LP, channel 20 (cable 11) is a CBS affiliate based in Hagåtña, Guam and covers the United States territory over-the-air and on cable. The station is owned by Pacific Telestations, Inc.

[edit] History

The low-powered station began telecasting on November 20, 1995 with CBS programming, which had aired on sister station KUAM-TV, who wanted to focused more on its NBC affiliation. The move would result in adding more CBS and NBC programming for each station, as opposed to airing selected shows from both networks for KUAM-TV to air. KUAM-LP also carried programs from The WB on a secondary basis from their inception until 2002.

Because of its LPTV status, the station also airs its programming on cable 11, which helps reach its audience in the island. KUAM-LP is one of the few television stations to sign off at night. It signs off at 1:30 AM and does not air Up To The Minute.
