KTVQ is a broadcast television station on channel 2 (Cable channel 5) in Billings, Montana USA, owned by the Evening Post Publishing Company and is the flagship of the Montana Television Network. Signed on as KOOK-TV and always being a CBS affiliate, the station began broadcasting on November 9, 1953. The station changed its callsign to KTVQ in 1973. It is also Montana's 2nd oldest TV station (sister station KXLF-TV in Butte is the first). The station has, along with most other MTN stations has been the leader in local news ratings.
