The station went on the air as KQKZ on 1980-12-12. On 1984-11-01, the station changed its call sign to KJCY-FM, on 1989-06-01 to KLVJ-FM, on 1997-01-07 to KTPZ, on 2007-03-30 to KTPD, on 2007-06-28 to the current KTMB,[2]
