KTIQ (1660 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Spanish Religious format. Licensed to Merced, California, USA, the station serves the Merced area. The station is currently owned by Mapleton License of Merced, LLC.[2]
[edit] History
The station was assigned the KAXW call letters on 1998-01-09. On 2002-02-12, the station changed its call sign to the current KTIQ.[3]
According to the latest Arbitron ratings as published in Radio and Records (see below), this was a sports radio station, probably called "The Ticket" (indicated by the letters "TIQ"), until some time late in 2007 or early 2008, when the station changed format and language of broadcasts.
