[edit] Digital television

Because they were granted original construction permits after the FCC finalized the DTV allotment plan on April 21, 1997 [1], KTEL-TV and KTLL-TV did not receive companion channels for digital television stations. Instead, on or before February 17, 2009, which is the end of the digital TV conversion period for full-service stations, KTEL-TV and KTLL-TV will be required to turn off their analog signals and turn on their digital signals (called a "flash-cut").
