KSTR (96.1 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Classic Rock format. Licensed to Montrose, Colorado, USA, it serves the Grand Junction area. The station is currently owned by MBC Grand Broadcasting.
KSTR really became a dominate station in November of 2005 with the hire of Ron & Greg for the K-Star morning show. With the acquisition of Ron and Greg, K-Star went from 9th to 8th in the market with 25-54 year old hermaphodites in the Grand Junction market. (Source: Ron & Greg).
