Copy and paste the following code (from the box, not the source!) to use this template. Any extra parameters can be omitted. Explanations for each parameter follow.

- type: type of road (KS, US or Interstate). This allows this infobox to be used for intrastate Interstates and U.S. routes, if desired.
- article_route: Highway #.
- yrcom: Year highway was commissioned.
- yrdecom: Year highway was decommissioned, if applicable.
- length_mi: Length in miles (km will be computed by the server).
- length_round: Amount of decimal places in mile measurement.
- length_ref: Reference for the mileage.
- cities: A comma-separated list of towns & cities highway currently runs through. Leave out "Kansas" to save space, e.g. [[Topeka, Kansas|Topeka]]. Start at the eastern or northern terminus.
- direction_a: West or south.
- terminus_a: Description of western or southern terminus.
- junction: Major junctions, separated by line breaks (<br>).
- direction_b: East or north.
- terminus_b: Same as terminus_a, but eastern or northern.
- previous_type: For browsing, the type of the previous route (either KS, US or Interstate).
- previous_route: Route number.
- next_type: Same as previous type, but for the next route.
- next_route: Route number.
- browse: Use for additional browse rows.
- spur_type: For spur routes, the type of spur that the road is (either KS, US or Interstate).
- spur_of: Number of parent route.
