KS Lushnja

Klubi Sportiv Lushnja is an Albanian football (soccer) club based in Lushnjë. Their home ground is "Abdurrahman Roza Haxhiu Stadium" (12.000 seats).
Founded in 1926, in 1945 they changed the name into KS Traktori Lushnja, in 1950 into SK Lushnja, in 1951 Puna Lushnja, in 1958 they returned into KS Traktori Lushnja and in 1991 the club was named KS Lushnja.
In 1948 they participated for the first time in the Albanian Superliga. The club won the Albanian First Division five times (1960, 1982, 1988, 1990, 1996) so far.
Mario Kempes made his full time coaching debut in Albania with a brief spell with KS Lushnja. It was groundbreaking, as he became the first foreign coach who signed a foreign player for the first time in Albanian soccer history. His career in Albania came to a quick end in 1997. He is one of the most famous foreign managers or even footballes to ever work in Albania.
For the season 2007/08 the team plays in the Albanian First Division. The coach is Sulejman Demollari who played 45 internationals for Albania.
