Krzysztof Soszynski (born November 8, 1977 in Stalowa Wola, Poland) is a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He is currently fighting for the Los Angeles Anacondas of the International Fight League (IFL).

[edit] Early years

Soszynski’s family moved to Winnipeg when he was 10. He played football and soccer in high school, but then turned to bodybuilding and then pro wrestling. He even served as a houseman at the Fairmont Winnipeg Hotel and as a promoter of local MMA events in Manitoba.[1]

[edit] Martial arts background

Soszynski comes from a different background than many IFL athletes: he was a professional wrestler for a time. After learning some Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu moves from fellow wrestler Bad News Brown, Soszynski decided that his future was in mixed martial arts.[2]. A ‘ground and pound’ specialist, he has also improved his striking tremendously and is competent both standing and on the mat. He has recorded knockouts or submissions in all but one of his victories to date. He currently resides in Winnipeg, Canada.
