Krzysztof Ratajczyk

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Krzysztof Ratajczyk (born 9 November 1973 in Poznań) is an Polish football defender who currently plays for Austrian team SC Schwanenstadt. He started his career at Warta Poznań. After five years at Legia Warszawa, he came to Rapid Wien in 1996, where he was most successful. He was very popular, especially because of his hard style to play (for example: he knocked an opponent forward into the third seat row in a pre-saison match). Although Rapid renewed his contract despite many long-widing injuries, in 2002 Ratajczyk changed (as skipper of the team) to the local rival Austria Wien. As a result of this "betrayel" the feelings ran high, what resulted that he was beaten down by four Rapid Fans. Ratajczyk changed to Mattersburg in 2005, where he spent two years. In January 08 he was without any contract, as the Red Zac leaguer SC Schwanenstadt offered him one. He has 16 caps for Poland.
