Krzysztof Matyjaszewski

Krzysztof Matyjaszewski (born 1950) is a Polish-American chemist.
In 1985 he finished his PhD at the Technical University of Łódź. He is a professor at the Carnegie Mellon University from 1995. An expert on polymers, author of many articles, he holds several honorary degrees and is in the Top 10 of most often cited chemists worldwide.[1] He ranked 6th in a list of the top 100 scientists compiled by Essential Science Indicators.[2].
His chief discovery so far has been in the field of Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization, which he created.
