Krzesimir Dębski

Krzesimir Dębski (born 26 October 1953 in Wałbrzych) is a Polish jazz violinist, composer and conductor.

Dębski studied music at the music academy in Poznań. During this time he became active in Poland's jazz scene as a violinist. As founder and bandleader of the group String Connection he gained renown beginning in 1980 at jazz festivals. In 1985 he was named in Down Beat as one of the world's top ten jazz violinists. Since 1986 he has been active primarily as a composer. As conductor he was worked with international artists such as José Carreras und Nigel Kennedy. Moreover, he conducted the orchestra for the Polish entry in the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest, "Ale jestem" by Anna Maria Jopek.
