[edit] Wikipedia:Wikiproject Deletion Deleters

I was wondering if, with all your Zelda/Megaman expertise, you would join Wikipedia:Wikiproject Deletion Deleters. You would be really useful! - ~VNinja~ 15:40, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

P.S. Please, leave the Skulltula article alone. It's fine where it is.
I'm inactive, sooo... I'm putting the Deletion Deleters in your hands! - ~VNinja~ 14:38, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Just busboy here!

Hello. Thank you for writing to me. I will take your advice, and try to be at least a little nicer on the talk pages. As for my Aspergers syndrome, I was diagnosed when I was about 10 years old(7 years ago) by the school doctor. If you think you may have it, you can go to your local doctor or psychologist, and ask for a test, or something to that affect. Anyway, don't be a stranger, if you have anything to tell or ask me, you know who I am! That is all. Busboy 01:13, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Referencing

I have to admit that I don't know how to do referencing either. Generally I learn by looking at the markup code for other similar articles and using them as a template. - Zero1328 Talk? 13:34, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Misunderstood

My remark about a conspiracy dealt with the popular Dan Brown, Holy Blood, Holy Grail, Church conspiracy stuff, which you noted. Not you. Relax. When one ventures into the ancient world to research a topic it may take years to do it well. I try to list my sources immediately after the material. You can find out more about Jesus and his wand in the New Catholic Encyclopedia: Portraits of the Apostles.[1] I suspect the belief in Magic in the ancient world is much older than the belief in the supernatural and certainly science. Nice to hear from you. User:Kazuba 12 May 2007

[edit] NPOV on Gnosticism

When you add an NPOV tag to an article, you are supposed to create a new section on the talk page and list your concerns. I will give you some time to do so, but will remove the tag if your concerns are not elaborated soon. IPSOS (talk) 13:59, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes, an NPOV tag is supposed to be associated with a distinct list of issues, even if they are already mentioned on the talk page. We shouldn't have to guess which issues you are referring to. IPSOS (talk) 14:13, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] BassxForte/Vilerocks

We really need a few third opinions on Ciel (Mega Man Zero), my patience has been completely exhausted. (Which is a surprise to me..) Thoughts? - Zero1328 Talk? 01:12, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Struggled...

...to find the right place for this to go. I apologise for being agressive with you over on the dmc demons page, though it wasn't intentional it did feel like I was being personally attacked for the work on the page and I put a lot of effort into neatening it up from its original state and making it an actual information source and not a page of pure OR. I'd like you, if willing, to come back and help me because some people are after merging it into characters, essentially removing everything there but for a few select individuals. I don't exactly understand how it isn't encyclopedic when an encyclopedia is a huge well of information and in this case, this information can be found in no other single place.

The page is far superior to the characters page and I have no intention of letting them just delete it when they are unwilling to provide the same level of style, grammer, information and thoroughness so I'd appreciate it if you would help me as I cannot manage such a task alone.Darkwarriorblake (talk) 17:12, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Legend of Zelda

[edit] Places in Ocarina of Time

This article needs some serious rewriting and reformatting. I'll be doing some of it, but you're a very active member, and I could really use your help. I think the "table" at the top is atrocious, I've never seen it before in a wiki article. Then there's all kinds of little irrelevant details in the paragraphs. ANY help would be greatDurinsBane87 07:56, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the help. I think we got the bulk of it, now just some tedious whittling.DurinsBane87 08:42, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the help. I'll finish it up a bit more after i beat the second temple of Zelda IIDurinsBane87 09:08, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

No, I have the top 4 changes. It shows up as my name on my history. I deleted some sections DurinsBane87 06:16, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dynalfos

I'm the person who changed the name of the armoured Lizalfos to Dynalfos. I assumed since most Twilight Princess enemy names on Wikipedia appear to derive from the Prima names, that this would be the case too. It's not an official name though I know. I have no problem with it being called Armoured Lizalfos, I just thought you'd like to know. 86.150.149.254 18:37, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I have a suggestion

You probably won't like this idea, but I figured I'd run it past you. I won't do it without your go ahead. I want to see if the Places in ocarina and Places in twilight articles can survive an AfD. I know you probably don't want to hear it, since you worked so hard on them. But it's got very little to source, and most of the locations aren't really that notable. I feel like it'd be kind of like having an article on the buildings in Silent Hill. Stuff happens there, sure, but I'm not sure if it should exist. That being said, I believe that constantly recurring locations should be kept, maybe on seperate pages or on a "Reccuring locations in The Legend of Zelda" type page. Just wanted to hear your opinion. DurinsBane87 07:12, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Um, I'm not entirely sure how to do that, but if you could provide me with a link to a wikia, i'll poke around and figure it out. DurinsBane87 07:46, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Places in OoT: Bottom of the Well/Well of Three Features

Sorry, but your name for this location is just wrong. This dungeon is named everywhere as "Bottom of the Well", on most of the internet, guides, official sources, etc. If you're referring to the well itself for whatever reason then say so, but the article isn't written in that way. Haipa Doragon 20:56, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Places in OoT: Bottom of the Well/Well of Three Features

"Gohma" is more easily confusable with "Queen Gohma", though (technically, the only one that should be named as "Queen" is the instance in OoT). It has generally been agreed everywhere (well, most-where, I guess) that "Bottom of the Well" is the correct name for the dungeon, therefore that is why I corrected it. Haipa Doragon 21:16, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, I guess I probably remembered the Gohma thing wrong, then. It's those bloody Deku Scrubs...
I'll edit the article to denote the Bottom of the Well as the dungeon and "Well of Three Features" (I think it should be in quotes, it has never really been confirmed, apart from the in-game sign, as an official name), then. Haipa Doragon 20:47, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Allow me to explain

Earlier this week, a bunch of StarCraft-related articles were put up for deletion because their content failed to meet WP:Fiction. Now, it would be understandable if the articles were about random things like a ship, or planet, but they were about important protagonists! It was almost the equivalent to deleting The Zelda, Link, and Ganon articles. Anyway, several of the articles about characters have been entirely stripped and redirected to other main pages.

This is why I’ve really tried to make a push in the last couple of days to fix up some articles, or at least try to make them look decent. I know you may have worked hard on Twilight Princess Characters’ page, but there’s apparently an Admin going around and tagging with In-universe or overly long plot summary articles for deletion. So, please understand that I’m not trying to harm the article but merely improve it. I also used the Prima Guide to verify the obvious, since the article lacks general references (not including notes). --►ShadowJester07  15:27, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

All right. Thanks for all the help. :) --►ShadowJester07  15:42, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Undead Masks

T'is done. Do you think that's enough information? Haipa Doragon (talk) 17:34, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Zelda enemies

I will be chopping the list down to the core enemies of the series to actually allow it to meet the guidelines. If I remove any staple enemies by accident, add them again, but the majority need to go. TTN 20:35, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

I was just going by size of the entries for that first one just to have some work done on it. In the end, only the major, major ones will be staying anyways (The importance to the series will matter, not the number of games). As for the larger enemies, those sections are game by game, while they should be general. There was no general info to work off of, so chopping them down to the first paragraph is really the only solution until someone actually fixes it up. TTN 20:42, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series

Right, I'll have a look at it. Some of this we could re-add to the current article, i.e. info concerning sub-species can be inserted into the main paragraphs on some creatures, cut down a bit. The grammatical tense of the article will need fixing, as well; the past tense isn't really appropriate when all games the article covers still exist; many older games are written like this. Haipa Doragon (talk) 22:04, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Agreed, the article needs to be rewritten in present tense for a start. I think a lot of the enemies from the main article that were removed could stay if they had enough information, as they really did have a lack of it. It would also be worth considering trying to merge the individual enemy articles (Keese, Wizzrobe) into the article as well, as they are all small and we could just remove the subheadings as they take up a lot of the space (I'll put this on your article talk page). .:Alex:. 08:37, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Should've updated my user page to say I've been away for the past week, but I forgot. So has anything major happened with the Zelda enemies articles? Haipa Doragon (talk) 13:11, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bosses in The Legend of Zelda series

This article is far too much like the old Enemies in TLoZ page; I've started a discussion on the article's talk page, just so you know. Haipa Doragon (talk) 21:28, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Beamos

I've cut down on some of the redundancy. Don't you think the paragraphs in this section are a bit too small? Haipa Doragon (talk) 12:54, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] re:Tags

Sorry; the in-universe tag isn't worded correctly in this respect. What it means is that the article needs info on concept/creation, cultural impact, and similar out-of-universe info; it's not really in the actual wording of the in-universe info. — Deckiller 18:34, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Where?

Its just out of curiosity, but I do remember a discussion in which it was said not to use two pictures in the VG template. Did Durin say even collages cannot be done? Maybe you are aware exactly that is stated. If collages cannot be done, this might complicate things (again) with the Sonic the Hedgehog (character) article too. btw, you think to avoid such debates, as what happened on Links' and Ganons', it would be stated somewhere other than in past discussions clear and precise guidelines about what the character's image should be. « FMF » 22:50, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

I'm not exactly sure what "explanation" page you are talking about. « FMF » 04:12, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Response: Termina Move

I do not see why it is not relevant to the page of the only game that it apperaces in. I moved the excessivly detailed article the the game page as was with The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. And also note that not all information is approprate information, we just need a general idea of the land.→041744 04:09, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE: PH

Is it supposed to come up with garbled text, or in japanese? I do have language packs installed and the text version comes up fine but the HTML version (which is obviously the only one we can use) comes up with the garbled text. .:Alex:. 12:54, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Recurring weapons in the legend of zelda series

Sorry about the delay, but I have to do the undeletion/move during off-peak hours - the page has such a large history that any sort of action on it will lock the Wikipedia database for several minutes. I should be able do it tonight. east.718 at 22:03, December 26, 2007

Y Done. The content is available here. I'm sorry I wasn't able to move it, that would be all she wrote for the servers if I did. east.718 at 05:48, December 27, 2007

[edit] Translating Fun with Jadenik (which means, Jadenik, post your requests here)

[edit] DVR

Do you know how we get more info for the digimon pages since when DVR profiles come out nonsensical when translated through online translator programs?--jadenik

I took your advice and tried the DVR profiles of locomon and granlocomon, it worked out pretty good.--Jadenik

[edit] GranDracmon

Recently, I have been translating profiles from DVR. But I'm having trouble with Grandracmon's profile. I was wondering if you could make sense of it like you did with Leviamon's profile.

Grandracmon

When it is the king of vampire [dejimon], demon animal type [dejimon] which assumes that there is relation simultaneously in many puzzles of the digital world. That, it exists from far former times, you say that it assumes has been concerned of the dark area the castle deeply. It is very gentleman, in order to give out the voice which has the effect “of fascination”, it is the 堕 heaven (fall down) it pointed to many angel type [dejimon] to [gurandorakumon] suppression. When to it has the strength which fears the fact that the hand is produced with even the devil which belongs “seven large devils”, simultaneously, it has the body of immortality also [uwasa] it is done. The puzzle which can turn to the dark area to the digital world and, “Death-X ([dekusu])” the truth regarding evolution is said is known also, but because even arriving to that castle it is difficult still truth it continues to be puzzle ....... --Jadenik

[edit] Marsmon

I need help making sense out of Marsmon's profile:

God human type [dejimon] which existed always of the digital world and in neutral standpoint makes grapple proud with 1 bodies of the “Olympus 12 God”. Because of victory and glory if using all hands, it probably will win, that it does, there is also a hiding weapon and times when infringement skill of grapple skill is used. We master the grapple skill of all systems, when fighting with the fist of oneself, we are strongest. --Jadenik

--Jadenik
Just letting you know that I'm just gonna use that Marsmon profile you translated for me for my DVR thread on WtW, plus It'll go to the DMa, but I'll give credit to you.--Jadenik

[edit] Caturamon

I need help with Caturamon's profile. could you help me sense of this:

Under the direction of four saintly animals [baihumon] one body of 12 God military officer. [dejimon] which does the form “of the Dog”. Unless with chairman part of 12 God military officer, it can point to phenomenon clearly, the character where the air is not completed is done. Enormous 鎚 “treasure 鎚 ([paotsuei])” to change it is possible the body.

Thanks for the Chatsuramon profile, I plan to use it on my profile thread om Withthewill, but I'll give credit to you.

[edit] Other Devas

I did some deva profiles days ago:

Mihiramon he serves the Four Holy Beast member, Qinglongmon/Azulongmon, he is one of the Twelve Devas. He takes the form of a tiger. he runs across heaven and earth, he makes various great strategies. His tail can become the "Treasure Stick."

Makuramon He serves the four holy beast member, Baihumon, and is one of the tweleve Devas. He has no expression on his face and does not speak. He expresses feeling with the movement of his body. He is a Pacifist. He shoots the "Treasure Ball" at those he likes to target.

Sinduramon He serves the Four Holy Beasts member, Baihumon, and is one of the Twelve Devas. He takes the form of a rooster. He loves to debate spread rumors, he has the highest defensive power of the Twelve Devas. He can pull his head and tail into his armor, he has an absolute defensive attitude. He wields the "Treasure Pestle" on his back.--Jadenik

[edit] Digimon Images

If you are looking for a fair use template thing just copy the one from one of mine and change the places it appears, whether it is bandai or toei and the summary bit. Trainra 13:13, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of Ultimate Digimon Part 3

I removed that information because I copied it off the digidex, the DMA, and felt bad because I was stealing information and apologized to the owner and agreed to reomve what I had added.--Jadenik

DMA is a fansite but it has profiles translated from official sites provided by the translator Wildermon is very respected by the digimon fandom.

[edit] Digimon Kōshiki Daizukan VI

I've replied on my talk page. There are gaps in some lines so I believe some of the ones you requested are missing, but I may find more once I've gone through the book more thoroughly and checked a couple of the other references (for instance Paomon would be in book 5 if anywhere, since the first film is covered in that volume) Shiroi Hane 16:31, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Over extended sentences

While i am backing up with the whole 156 thing. I recently noticed that a lot of sentences are overly extended with the use of commas and conjunctions. "and this, but that, which". All i ask is that you use a fullstop more without dragging the sentence on and on, with comma and conjunctions. --86.130.139.232 21:24, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fresh Digimon

Kodokugumon - I believe he is a data Rookie Digimon, not fresh.
Kuramon - 1,023,754 merged to become Armageddemon. [3]
Nyokimon - Nyoki comes from nyokinyoki which means plants sprouting one after another.
Popomon - Popo comes from the word tanpopo, which mean Dandelion. - The Digimon resembles a seed.
Poyomon - Poyon describes something soft and smushy.
Pupumon - Pupu comes from the Latin word pupa, which is a stage of immaturity in an insect's lifecycle. - It does look more like an insect than a shell.

Just info gotten from With the Will. Any of it worth it? Trainra 10:45, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Ok, sounds good to me. Trainra 09:44, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

I did some further research and Nyokimon and Poyomon are in fact named after those two words, the actually exist (I asked my Japanese teaccher at school). Trainra 08:41, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

I sent you the scan Trainra 13:21, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Digivice page

A question I like to ask you is I want for you to examine my recent edit to the Digivice page and tell me what you think. My goal is that I am trying to is turn material that is slightly a different topic or other material that is out of place for the main summary of the different digivice profiles and turn it into a reference material where all although it is facts that can be proven it will be better suited as reference material. Why don't you take a look at it and tell me what you think? If you choose to you can delete or alter my previous edits, I couldn't care less. The second step for my plan is to do the same to episode references that are already in the main summaries namely with the D-Power section. -Adv193 17:35, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

The only move I could think of is to cite the episodes' airdates from Tv.com like any other episode of Digimon although I don't not have the kind of experience for that kind of citation. At least my earlier edits have shown some form of improvement. -Adv193 20:45, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Chaos Lord and Chaosdramon

I will post some reasons why I believe Chaos Lord should have his own page, and not be a subcategory of Chaosdramon.

Firstly and most importantly, Chaos Lord is not a Chaosdramon. In fact there is no relation between the two at all, since Chaos Lord is the Prince of Evil in Digimon World 2 and Chaosdramon is a character in a manga. If I am not mistaken, these are the only appearances of the two characters. And also, both of them being very important characters in Digimon, they should have seperate articles.

Also, Chaos Lord appeared before Chaosdramon in 2000, in Digimon World 2, while Chaosdramon appeared in 2006 in Digimon Next. Obviously, you would not be able to place Chaos Lord as a category of Chaosdramon back in 2000 when Chaosdramon did not even exist. Even if you still insisted in having Chaos Lord and Chaosdramon in the same article for some reason, then it should be Chaosdramon being a subcategory of Chaos Lord, not the opposite.

Chaos Lord and Chaosdramon, despite having some common characteristics in appearance, they are still very different. Chaosdramon looks much more futuristic than Chaos Lord, and he also does not have the same horns on his head (see their pictures for reference).

Finally, just like WarGreymon, BlackWarGreymon and ChaosBlackWarGreymon are similar Digimon but each have their own page, I believe the same should hold true for Machinedramon, Chaos Lord and Chaosdramon.

[edit] Myotismon

need help with this myotismon profile:

The king of [andetsudodejimon] which revived with the darkness, technique obtained mighty power. Originally, absorbing the data of the computer, it had the ability to make the data revive which with the brutal computer virus which it destroys, is destroyed as the vicious computer virus. [edit] Sure, I'll help!

Now, first thing, where are the references we are using to build it up? If I can have those, we can probably stop the AFD and build it up so that it will stay alive. Then we can see how much we have, either for a merger or an independent article. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 17:15, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

In order to build these sections, we need creator interviews, do any exist? Judgesurreal777 (talk) 17:17, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
And one other thing; if you can't find anything right now, RELAX. Either promise them that such stuff exists and you'll find it, thus ending the AFD for now, then you can build it up over the next month or two and then show that it can stand on its own or should be merged, and if that doesn't work, move a copy of the article into one of your userpages so that you can work on it even if they delete it and then you are free to build it back up to a notable point and then recreate it. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 17:21, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
So, what strategy are you going to use? Judgesurreal777 (talk) 03:19, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
I strongly recommend copying the article to your userspace in case they delete it, so you still have the whole thing to work on no matter what. At that point, you can improve it and reestablish it at your leisure. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 03:24, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
