[edit] South African College

Hi, I saw you removed the headmaster stuff from this. Was there a mistake? -- JJay 12:21, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Hey there, thanks for merging the headmaster thing... I wasn't sure what to do there, but the headmaster part I thought would look weird because I just realised I don't have the full list of headmasters from both the high school and junior school and I thought it might look rather dumb... I'll get the full list for the past 176 years and then post it... --KryptonZone 12:34, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

The full list would be good, but it would have to fit in the article. If you post it as a separate list, I'm sure someone will try to delete it. -- JJay 12:57, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Yeah agreed, I will be able to stick it in, only 9 for the high school and like another 6 or 7 for the junior school. Thanks for the help anyways, it's really nice :) --KryptonZone 13:02, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Mascot c 1 wiki.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Mascot c 1 wiki.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hello KryptonZone, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Mascot c 1 wiki dc.gif) was found at the following location: User:KryptonZone. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 13:26, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use image use

Greetings. I've changed the display of Image:Vesalius College DC logo.jpg and Image:Mascot c 1 wiki dc.gif on your userpage to links instead of actually displaying the images in order to comply with Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria item #9. Even though you uploaded these images, and at least in one case claim full rights, the images have not been released under a free license. As such, they may not be displayed on your userpage. This might seem silly, but we just simply do not permit exceptions to this policy (in theory, there can be exceptions, but in practice there are none). I hope linking to these images is a satisfactory compromise for you rather than having them removed. If you have questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. All the best, --Durin 17:21, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Vesalius College DC logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Vesalius College DC logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:47, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Mascot c 1 wiki dc.gif

Thank you for uploading Image:Mascot c 1 wiki dc.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:57, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
