Krysty Wroth is a main character in the Deathlands saga of novels. She is a mutant who is often described as a "Titian Haired Beauty", referring to her long red hair which is animated and semi-sentient,the loss of her hair through violent means is the cause of intense and severely crippling agony. she has had on several occasions lost hair through being cut,or pulled from her head, with the loss of which was akin to having a finger cut off with approximate pain levels and debilitation. She is shown to have vaguely defined psychic abilities in some of the novels, namely a sense of foreboding, and ability to sense out threats and other living creatures of their respective intelligence levels to some degree and ability to tell some...not every future event that may,or may not occur. She was first introduced in Pilgrimage to Hell in 1986, the first book of the series, and in that book established a romantic relationship with Ryan Cawdor, the other main character.

Krysty is a worshipper of Gaia and apparently draws strength from the earth. when in times of extreme danger to herself and others near her,she can gather her Chi and use Gaia to give her an almost unlimited strength level, and then expell herself in a amazing violent means for a fairly short period of time, this leaves her drained and helpless for sometime afterwards, and uses it only in times of severe and dire extremes for the helplessness that comes after will endanger her when the immediate threat was dealt with, and she falls over spent. She is the spiritual center of the group of survivors in the books, the character most driven to find a utopia of unspoiled land to live on, though as the series progresses this drive fades into the background.

Like most of the characters featured in the series, she is a skilled and experienced fighter. her primary weapons are a snub nosed 5 shot .38 Smith and Wesson Revolver, her silver toed cowboy boots, and a small knife on her person, she is a crack shot with the pistol.
