Kroger 200 (NCTS)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article is about the Craftsman Truck Series race called the Kroger 200. For the Busch Series race, see Kroger 200 (Busch).

The Kroger 200 is a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race that takes place in the fall at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia. The track did not host a fall race from 1999-2002, and the length of the race has changed several times, from 150 laps in 1995, to 250 laps in 1996. During 1999 the race was held at Louisville Motor Speedway and was known as the Kroger 225. Then in 2000-2001 the race site moved to Richmond International Raceway and yet again known as the Kroger 200. In 2002 the race was re-known as the Kroger 225 but this time was held at Kentucky Speedway. When Martinsville regained its fall race in 2003, the length of the race was reduced to its present length of 200 laps. In 2007, Martinsville was one of three tracks to host two Craftsman Truck Series races.
