[edit] Filter (photography) article
About the statement in the Filter (photography) article about how many f-stops are lost with a highly restive filter. Yes, it could be rephrased to be accurate. Seano1 22:05, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:New_radiation_symbol_ISO_21482.svg
Thanks for uploading Image:New_radiation_symbol_ISO_21482.svg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Swedish Space Corporation Logo.gif
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Swedish Space Corporation Logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:08, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Limux evolution.gif
Thank you for uploading Image:Limux evolution.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 12:40, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Dash not an openmoko device
Alas - not all press releases are correct. Openmoko has terrible communications problems. The developer community is not always communicated to in a timely fashion, and this information wasn't released to the dev community, so it was assumed by many - including me - that this press release was incorrect, and this impression wasn't corrected by people who actually knew.
As far as I can gather from screenshots - none of the openmoko UI is actually used. The GPS software simply runs full-screen all the time. Calling it openmoko is perhaps a stretch. It uses only (as I understand it) some of the kernel patches in the OM tree, and none of the UI. editing article to reflect --Speedevil (talk) 14:35, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Limux evolution.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Limux evolution.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 08:26, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
