I have have high hopes for Krita, being a photoshop junkie who has switched to linux, but I think this article might glow a bit to much to be called NPOV.--Terrible Tim 13:36, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

- Tagged. Someone who looks into this should take a little bit less advertisatory tone and take the claims of promises of l33tness in the future with a grain of salt, as usual. I have always thought Krita was more about painting and creating original images like Corel Painter than programs such as Photoshop for manipulating photos or scanned images. This article from Linux.com mentions that developer Boudewijn Rempt has emphasised the painting aspect of development. http://www.linux.com/article.pl?sid=06/01/10/1627212 I believe Jasc PaintShopPro was an early influence on the interface design of KImageShop. Digging through the mailing list archives might provide a suitable reference. Horkana
