[edit] Contention and Conscious

I just linked his blog, "Contention and Conscious," in the "External Links".

I have no idea how tall he is but he's not 'He stands 76 feet 7 inches (2.01 m) tall.' Can someone who knows how tall he is change it Howphil 00:13, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Is there anyway we could make this article a little more encyclopedia-like? --unsigned

[edit] dj k-no

I removed the previous citation, and replaced it with a citation-needed. The previous citation was to http://www.coastradio.org/djkno.html . This page meerly proves that that "DJ K-No" exists. Not that it's Krist Novoselic. 67.188.7.78 11:08, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Suicide"

Concering Cobain's death, i think we're overly politically correct if we refer to it as "alleged" suicide. Yes there are conspiracy theories, like for many other famous deaths, but do we really need to mention every point of view as soon as there is a [minority] dissenting view? --unsigned

I recommend we stick to "suicide" and link to it to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Cobain#Addiction_and_death --unsigned

(Above signatures added; moved top comment from bottom. --Jack (Cuervo) 06:00, 16 September 2005 (UTC))

I agree with the link, but I think something like "(alleged) suicide" would work better. --Jack (Cuervo) 06:00, 16 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Where he eats

Anyway we could mention that he frequents the Columbian Cafe in Astoria, Oregon, and has lent his jukebox to the cafe's bar: the voodoo lounge? Or stuck a fly in Jake Danners Beard while sucking up sum Organiclly Spiced Placenta from the front of the Cadillac grill.

Make a Miscellaneous or a Trivia tab- add that (if you have a source) --Mynabull 00:55, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Accordi"o"n

First: If you are going to add something, at least spell it correctly. Second: CITE, CITE, CITE!

Yeah apparently putting a fly in shaky jakes beard- right under uriahs organic placenta breakfasts. Bold text

[edit] Pic

Where did the pic go? This one sucks!

[edit] Flipper

11/9/06 info from email from Steve DePace: "We are off to UK and Iriland in Dec with Krist Novoselic on bass. We are doing a bunck of dates with The Melvins as well as a festival date with Iggy and Sonic Youth."

[edit] Picture

I haven't found any eligible pics, but if you do, please post it. The article needs a picture. Savagepine 22:48, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Height

I read he was 7'2. Nukleoptra 11:26, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

i read on the list of tall men article that he is 6'7". he towers over kurt in videos and i think kurt is normal height...

[edit] The bassist? I think not...

I have always understood that Cobain was the bassist. Maybe this is vandalism, maybe just an error. I don't have time to look right now, but someone should fix this if it is wrong. Hurrmic 14:49, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

I would highly recommending spending three seconds looking it up before posting something like that. -- ChrisB 22:23, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
You are correct, ChrisB, I was clearly too hasty, did not research it, and should not have posted that comment. i don't usually rush to judgement like that, and I obviously can no longer entirely rely on my aging brain for accurate recall. I don't know how I came to think Cobain was the bassist. My bad! Hurrmic 20:55, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] This article needs a section on politics

Novozelic created JAMPAC, an organisation whose purpose was to fight for freedom of speech for musical artists.

Novoselic has been particularly concerned with ballot access. He spoke about ballot access at the 2006 Libertarian National Convention.

He wrote a book titled, if I remember correctly, Of Grunge and Government.

He has donated $250 to Ron Paul for his 2008 bid for the presidency.

He is, I believe, a registered Democrat.

So, yeah, a politics section is much needed for this article.

[edit] Picture

Needs to be cropped to show Novoselic only. Don't know how to do it myself but somebody does... Speedboy Salesman (talk) 14:10, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

this article is totally non sourced, and is laughable —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.180.194.120 (talk) 09:36, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

I can only second that... both pictures right now are laughable. It looks like an explicit statement that Krist is almost invisible... on the first picture you have to guess who is Kirst and the second one is a good Kurt Cobain photograph, but nothing else... --Demon from Walmart (talk) 05:43, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
