Krisztián Németh (born January 5, 1989 in Győr) is a Hungarian football player who currently plays for Liverpool. He was signed from MTK Hungária FC by Liverpool in 2007, alongside András Simon. He was one of many players bought during the 07/08 summer transfer window, including Daniel Pacheco, Gerardo Bruna, Andras Simon, Dean Bouzanis, Daniel Ayala, Mikel San Jose, Marvin Pourie, Damien Plessis and Ryan Crowther for the reserves, as well as Lauri Dalla Valle and Pajtim Kasami for the U16 and U15 in what was a major shake up for the academy.

Krisztián was a star of the Hungary squad that reached the 2006 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship finals in Luxembourg, and recently scored seven goals in three matches for the U19s in a mini-tournament in Cyprus. He is widely regarded as an upcoming talent and has been tipped for a bright future at the Merseyside club.

Németh made his debut for the Liverpool reserves on the 27th of November 2007 against Manchester City scoring twice in the first half, while also hitting the post. A week later, he scored another two goals in the Mini-Derby vs. Everton Reserves, and added a 5th goal in three games against Middlesbrough Reserves sending his team to top of the Premier Reserve League North. He later started for the reserves against Sunderland Reserves and skillfully lobbed the keeper giving Liverpool the win and sending them five points clear at the top of the reserves league. In April 2008, Németh scored the only goal of the game against Blackburn Rovers Reserves which secured the Premier Reserve League North title. On 7th May 2008, Nemeth scored the first goal in Liverpool's Reserve League final victory over Aston Villa at Anfield, with Liverpool eventually running out 3-0 winners.

Németh has made only nine appearances for the Liverpool Reserves, as a result of starting the season injured with a dislocated shoulder. Németh has nonetheless impressed fans with his creativity, technical skill and natural goalscoring instinct. Though he is currently employed in his team as a striker, he will often drop into a deeper position during games, where he is able to take advantage of the additional space to make his trademark backheel passes. He is also developing such a reputation as a poacher in the penalty box that some Liverpool fans have likened him to a young Robbie Fowler. His impressive displays in the latter half of the season earned him recognition as Liverpool Fans' Reserves Player of the Year for the 2007-08 season.

Németh is expected to make the step up to first-team football within the coming year and Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez appears more than confident in his ability to do so. He is considered to be a rising star at Liverpool.

In May 2008 he was called up to the Hungarian Senior Squad and was an unused substitute during their 1-1 draw with Croatia.
