Born 20 Jan 1940 "Rebel Star" Krishnam Raju hails from Mogaltur, WG District A.P. His full name is Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju. He started his film career with negative roles and soon became the part of TOP 5 heroes of 80's in Telugu Cinema. He was famous for macho image roles. His hit films include Mana voori Pandavalu (Bapu), Bhakta Kannappa (Bapu), Krishnaveni, Amara Deepam, Katakatala rudraiah, Rangoon Rowdy, Pulibidda, Trisulam, Dharmatmudu, Bobbili Brahmanna, Tandrapaparayudu, Anthima teerpu....
He was elected to LokSabha twice and also served as State Minister for Defence.
