[edit] Career
Kris got his first break when he was asked to sing and play drums in a theatre production of Dream a Little Dream: The nearly true story of the Mamas and the Papas starring original "Papa" Denny Doherty. He was a member of the cast for it's six original runs. Kris spent two years touring with Lennie Gallant (appearing on his "Lifeline" album), then one year on the road with Dave Gunning (He has played on all of Gunning's recordings since). Vancouver world music band The Paperboys hired Kris to tour sporadically for two years (He appears on the JUNO nominated CD "Postcards") followed by Cape Breton Celtic group Kilt. Upon completing his last run with Doherty in 2001 and taking some time off Kris was approached to work with Great Big Sea. Kris has played on the Great Big Sea albums "Something Beautiful", "The Hard and the Easy", The upcoming 2008 release and The live concert DVD "Courage and Patience and Grit".
Additional artists Kris has worked with include: Beyond Ash, Barry Canning, George Canyon, Dave Carroll, Patricia Conroy, Crush, Janelle Dupuis, Paul Lamb, Doris Mason, Slainte Mhath, Sons of Maxwell, Nathan Wiley and Hawksley Workman.
