KRIS-TV is a television station in Corpus Christi, Texas, broadcasting locally on VHF channel 6 as an NBC affiliate. KRIS-TV also airs programming from The CW on DT2, as CW South Texas. Each of these stations are owned by KRIS Communications, a DBA of KVOA Communications, which is a subsidiary of Evening Post Company. KRIS, along with sister stations KDF and CW South Texas, each have pages on the popular social website MySpace.com. KRIS-TV also produces newscasts at 7 a.m. & 9 p.m. for sister station KDF.
KRIS-TV's audio signal transmits on a frequency of 87.75 MHz (+10 kHz shift) and as a result, can be picked up on the lower end of the dial on most FM radios at 87.7. This is true of all other channel 6 stations in the United States.

KRIS was the first television station in the United States to air hard liquor ads since a self-imposed industry ban was placed on them in 1948. A Crown Royal ad aired on the station in 1996, featuring a puppy with a diploma and one carrying a Crown Royal bag in its mouth. [1]
