[edit] History
KRDO 1240 has been on the air since 1947. The call letters were always KRDO, and it was the first of the KRDO stations to sign on the air. The call sign stood for "Kolorado's (sic) Radio Dynamic Outlet." The station was originally owned by Harry Hoth's Pikes Peak Broadcasting Company, which owned the station until June 2006 when News-Press & Gazette took over operations. The station went through many format changes over the years ranging from adult contemporary, oldies, country, and sports talk prior to its current news/talk format.
