[edit] Programming

KRDE is a country music station. The station is jockless throughout most of the day playing a variety of Country hits, past and present. The morning drive is filled with the nationally syndicated Young and Verna program while overnights air's After Midnite with Blair Garner. National news is provided by Fox News Radio. A daily community affairs news program titled "Ride 94 News" hosted by Sean, a local Arizona Disc Jockey, weekdays at 4:30 pm.

On weekends, the station (prior to 2007) aired the "Ride Back in Time," a collection of syndicated oldies and other programs not typical of most country music formats. This collection included shows such as Dr. Demento, Goddard's Gold, and Rock, Roll and Remember. In order to mainstream the format, the oldies programs were dropped and initially replaced by the station's regular country music format. However, Dr. Demento (apparently a favorite of listeners) continued to air on Sunday nights until the show's management threatened the station over false contract claims in order to charge the station an exorbitant amount of money, leading the station to drop the show in October 2007. In 2008, KRDE replaced the "Ride Back in Time" with Southern Fried Rockabilly, a mixture of Southern rock, rockabilly, and country rock, that originates from KRDE and plays all Saturday.

On Sunday, KRDE continues to air syndicated country programs like Crook & Chase Countdown, Cowboy Corner with Red Steagall, and America's Grand Ole Opry Weekend.
