Kratovo, Russia

Kratovo (Russian: Кра́тово) is a suburban (dacha) settlement (an urban-type settlement) in Ramensky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, situated forty kilometers southeast of Moscow. Population: 6,855 (2002 Census); 6,295 (1989 Census).

Yuriy Borzakovskiy, who took home the gold in the men's 800 meter run at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, was born in Kratovo. Sergei Eisenstein and Sergei Prokofiev had dachas here.
